CONTINUING EDUCATION POINTS
The continuing education point (CEP) system was effective
January 1, 2003. This system has also
been written into the constitution of the association, paragraph 18.
The following guidelines are in effect:
Members must accumulate 10 points per calender year. A
deficit or surplus may be carried for one year ONLY. Newly
certified members need not acquire points in their first partial in
the association, but may carry any points gained to the next full
year.
Sources of credit include:
5 points for attending Annual General meeting and seminar
3 points for sitting on council, with minimum 75% attendance record
2 points for sitting on active producing committee
Other sources include any seminars or conferences that are work
related. In house training programs sponsored by employers,
first aid training, safety training, etc all qualify for points.
