CONTINUING EDUCATION POINTS

The continuing education point (CEP) system was effective January 1, 2003.    This system has also been written into the constitution of the association, paragraph 18.

The following guidelines are in effect:

Members must accumulate 10 points per calender year.  A deficit or surplus may be carried for one year ONLY.  Newly certified members need not acquire points in their first partial in the association, but may carry any points gained to the next full year.

Sources of credit include:
5 points for attending Annual General meeting and seminar
3 points for sitting on council, with minimum 75% attendance record
2 points for sitting on active producing committee

Other sources include any seminars or conferences that are work related.  In house training programs sponsored by employers, first aid training, safety training, etc all qualify for points.

If you have any questions about the CEP program, please contact the committee chair, Jim Wicks.

Download the CEP submission form here for information on submitting your points claimed.

Download the CEP XLS database here to enter your CEP data.
